Wonder if any background checks are done before one stands for elections. He doesn’t seem to have any credentials at all.

Not trying to defend the guy, because this is wrong but I think this falls under well established Swedish voting practices. I don't see a big difference from Mohamed telling and instructing people to vote for him from a party telling its voters to vote for another party so they don't go under 4%. I would guess that is from where he got the inspiration.
