"For the first time, charges are being brought for participation in a terrorist organisation regarding the neo-Nazi organization MKY, also known as the Maniac Murder Cult, which can be linked to several serious acts of violence, including murder," Prosecutor Lars Hedvall said in a press statement.
The crime is alleged to have been committed from November 2025 until the person was arrested in February 2026.
"The acts in the case included, among other things, the establishment of a Swedish MKY cell, recruitment and dissemination of propaganda material on behalf of MKY," Hedvall added.
According to a statement from the Säpo security police, which led the investigation into the person, the group espouses the ideology of "accelerationism" meaning it wants to accelerate societal collapse.
The charge was brought at Attunda District Court, north of Stockholm.
