Public health care is guaranteed as a human right by the Spanish Constitution - it is imperative that the President of Andalusia take this mandate seriously. Juanma Moreno does the exact opposite by funding private medicine and ignoring public health. He has closed health centres, fired staff, increased waiting times - and the false breast cancer test results are a direct result of his lack of interest in quality public health care. María Jesús Montero is committed to restoring Andalusia’s public health care system, and has the expertise to accomplish this. I’m originally from the US and know the disasters created by an inhumane private health care system where the main benefactors are the lawyers arguing for or against people’s insurance claims. It’s essential to understand that this money is literally diverted from providing health care to providing healthy salaries for lawyers. We need to support public health and elect a government that works for the people.
