The article says "Under current rules, work permit holders who are made redundant have just three months to find a new job after the end of their notice period." The notice period in Sweden is generous, often exceeding three and even in some cases reaching six months? So in reality workers have six to nine months to find a new job, after receiving notice? (unless their firm goes bankrupt). It sounds like a rather long time to find work. Or is my interpretation wrong?
