Long queues and mandatory face masks at Oslo Gardermoen Airport
Mandatory facemasks have been reintroduced at Oslo Gardermoen, and travellers have been advised to arrive at the airport earlier than they usually would due to long queues, following a change to Norway’s Covid-19 travel rules.

As a result of the shakeup of Norway’s rigid travel rules, many in Norway have booked visits abroad, and Avinor, the state-owned company that operates Norway’s airports, said that passengers should expect long queues due to increased demand.
In addition to this, Ullensaker municipality, where the airport is located, reintroduced mandatory facemasks for all indoor areas at the airport to minimize the risk of infection.
Sexually transmitted diseases more common in the Norwegian Armed Forces than the Flu
Sexually transmitted diseases were more common than the Flu in the Norwegian Armed Forces, according to the annual Health for Combat Capability report for 2021.

The report found that sexually transmitted diseases topped the list of illnesses registered in Norway’s armed forces in 2020. However, Covid-19 was not included in the statistics.
In total, there were more than 262 cases of sexually transmitted diseases registered across the armed forces last year. There were twice as many cases of STD’s recorded than there were of Influenza, with 126 cases of the Flu being registered.
Head of the armed forces health register Arne Johan Norheim told state broadcaster NRK that the number of sexually transmitted diseases in the armed forces is not higher than it would be across the rest of society.
He also said that part of the reason for the number of STD’s in the armed forces was because the army is made up primarily of young people.
One in three worried about a new wave of coronavirus
According to a new survey from Ipsos for newspaper Dagbladet, one in three Norwegians are worried about a new wave of Covid-19 infection, driven by the Delta virus, which was first identified in Norway.

A third of respondents said they are pretty worried about a new wave. Four percent said they are very worried, and the vast majority said they weren’t very worried, and six percent said that they were not worried at all.
On Monday, 187 Covid-19 infections were recorded in Norway, three less than the seven-day average.
In Oslo, 13 coronavirus cases were registered, four less than the average for the previous seven days.
The R-number or reproduction rate in Norway is currently 0.7. This means that every ten people that are infected will, on average, only infect another seven people, indicating that the infection level is declining.
