‘Travelcheck’: This tool shows you what you need to enter Switzerland
The Swiss government has launched a site to let people see whether they can enter Switzerland and what they will need to do so.
The site, which is available here, “allows you to check whether and under what conditions you can enter Switzerland.”
It is available in English, French, German and Italian.
By answering a few questions, you will quickly get an answer as to whether you can enter Switzerland and the rules in place for entry.

In order to see if you can enter Switzerland, you will need to enter personal information such as where you are entering from, vaccination/recovery status and your residency status.
You do not need to enter your name and your data will not be recorded.
Factors such as testing rules and the specifics that apply - i.e. whether it needs to be a PCR test and how old it can be - are also laid out by using the tool.
While the government is careful to reiterate that what Travelcheck says is not binding - i.e. border officials will have the final say - the tool is useful in helping people in relatively unique situations work out the rules that apply and whether they can enter at all.
The site also has helpful links to rules about visas, Frequently Asked Questions and specifics about the Covid certificate.
Keep in mind that while the tool is official from the Swiss government, it has been put out by the Federal Office of Public Health.
This means that other government entry rules - such as those from the State Secretariat for Migration - may in some cases not be included.
