Denmark’s national infectious disease agency, State Serum Institute, confirmed to broadcaster DR that the delivery for Thursday next week will not be the 15,600 doses that were promised, but 13,200 instead.

According to DR, the Danish authorities have protested against the reduction and are awaiting a response from the company.

The announcement is the third time a Covid-19 vaccine supplier has reduced the number of previously planned deliveries to Denmark.

According to an SSI status on January 26th 56,000 doses were to be delivered from Pfizer/BioNTech during the week commencing January 25th.

AstraZeneca has also announced that it will only be possible to deliver half as many vaccines for the coronavirus in the first deliveries as the EU countries expected.

The Vaccine from AstraZeneca is not yet approved for use in the EU. Such approval is expected Friday from the European Medicine Agency.
