New coronavirus infections continue to be recorded in Vienna, which has been one of the hardest hit states in the country for the virus.
On Thursday, February 11th, Vienna announced two new coronavirus testing centres, bringing the total number of centres to 30 across the city.

Where are the new centres?
From Thursday, February 11th, the centre at Ferry Dusika station will again be allowed to open. From Saturday, February 13th, a testing centre will also open up at Therme Oberlaa.
At both centres, people will need to park their cars and walk up to their appointment. It means the testing centre at Ernst-Happel-Stadion will be the only drive-in testing centre.
From Friday, February 12th, this centre will become drive-in only. Anyone who has a walk in appointment at the Ernst Happel Stadium will be redirected to the nearby Dusika Stadium.
How does drive-in testing work in Vienna?
At 'walk in' and 'drive in' sites, you will need to make an appointment. This can be done at the following links.

Drivers can be tested in their own cars for free on site “quickly and efficiently” according to the Vienna City Council.
Test sites are generally open from 6am to 9pm daily, although check with your specific site to see opening hours.
What kind of tests are carried out?
Each testing site is equipped with throat swabs tests, rapid tests and new-fangled “gurgle tests”.
Who can get tested?
While the tests are free, they’re only open to residents of Vienna or employees of Viennese companies.
Anyone wanting to get tested needs to bring photo ID and Austrian e-card.
You’ll also need the registration form for your residency in Vienna (Meldezettel des Hauptwohnsitzes in Wien) or proof of employment in Vienna.
Proof of employment can include either your company ID card or a letter from your employer.

Anyone wanting to get tested will also need to bring a ballpoint pen and cover their nose and mouth with a mask.
When will I get my results?
The results will be available after three working days, upon which they’ll either be sent to you via the post or via the Vienna HomeCare App.
According to the city council, those with positive results will receive their results sooner than those who test negative. In some cases, those who test positive will receive a phone call.
Anyone waiting for a test result is required to go into isolation until they receive it.
