The German Weather Service (DWD) said it would feel noticeably warmer.
“The warm weather front of a low near Portugal is extending across Germany,” said the DWD, reported Spiegel.
“With a southern current, unusually mild air is introduced to the season.”
The DWD said Tuesday would be a “very mild” day with “spring-like temperatures”.
The mercury is set to climb above the 10C mark in many regions of the country. In some parts of North Rhine-Westphalia, highs of 17C are possible. At the edge of the Alps in southern Germany it could reach 20C locally due to the warm dry winds.

However, forecasters said the weather front could result in a huge variety of temperatures. On Tuesday morning it was 17C in Rosenheim and only 1-3C in the northern foothills of the Alps.

As the week goes on, temperatures are set to decrease slightly but strong winds will continue – and there's a possibility of rain in many parts of the country.
Forecasters said it was too early to accurately predict what the weather will be like next week but it doesn't look like a white Christmas is on the cards.
