Pausa as a break:

 

  • Los actores hicieron una pausa en el ensayo para conocer al productor de la obra.

        The actors took a break during the rehearsal to meet the play's producer.

 

 It can also be used in a musical context (rest) or theaters (beat).

 

  • La duración de una pausa varía dependiendo de la nota que representa.

        The length of a rest depends on the note that it represents.
