'Piropo' is a compliment or flattering comment.

This word can also be used as a verb piropear, which means to catcall.

Examples:

  • Pasó una mujer por delante y el señor le echó un piropo.

       A woman walked by and a man catcalled her.

 

  • Suéltale un piropo para que te haga más caso.

      Pay him a compliment so he pays more attention to you.
