       This movie is amazing.

 

  • Es alucinante que él sea culpable.

       It's mind-bogging that he's guilty.

 

Alucinar as a verb can be used to describe being shocked/stunned, amazed, tricked/conned, and in some more colloquial terms, to be out of your mind.

  • Alucino contigo a veces.

        I am stunned by you sometimes.

  • ¡Tu alucinas si crees que te dejaré irte!

       You're out of your mind if you think I'm going to let you go!

 

Alucinante also means hallucinatory when referring to drugs:

  • No deberías usar drogas alucinantes.

        You shouldn’t use hallucinatory drugs.
