Spanish Word of the Day: 'Pesado'
If someone calls you a 'pesado', you'll probably not be too happy about it.
So what does today's Word of the Day mean?
Pesado means 'heavy' or 'slow'. So when we look at it in a sentence:

¡Mi mochila es muy pesada!
My backpack is so heavy!

Me siento muy pesado hoy.
I'm not on top of my game today
When referring to other people, pesado means annoying or irritating:

¡Mi primo es muy pesado!
My cousin is so annoying!

No seas pesado, tío
Don't go on about it, mate.
We can also use the verb ponerse - when talking about someone temporarily being annoying or becoming annoying.

El bebe se pone muy pesado cuando tiene sueño.
The baby gets really tiresome when he's tired.
