Change of CEO at The Local

James Savage, cofounder of The Local, is taking over as CEO of the company from 20th July 2018.
James replaces Paul Rapacioli, who will now focus on external opportunities for The Local and joins the company's board.
James and Paul founded the company in 2004. Since then, James has built the company's international editorial operation, managed the corporate sales team and overseen the shift to paid reader membership.
Paul will continue to work on the company's strategy and will focus on building new relationships to underpin The Local's future growth.
From 20th July 2018 James Savage becomes CEO and Publisher of The Local Europe AB.
