British mountain climber dies after fall in Norway
A British man in his 20s died of injuries he suffered during a fall from the Gaustatoppen mountain in Telemark county on Monday, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
The man fell 30 metres while climbing on Monday afternoon and broke both legs and suffered other injuries in the fall.
He was with a friend when the accident occurred.
The accident did not occur while climbing but rather while the pair was taking a rest on a mountain ledge.
On Tuesday morning, police in Telemark said that the man had died of his injuries and that his family had been notified.
The accident occurred on the north side of the 1,883-metre high peak.
