A 48-year-old former postman and his 20-year-old son are accused of the brutal murder of the home manager and his girlfriend.

The son and co-accused was only 16 years old at the time of the killing, which shocked residents of the quiet town of Spiez in the Bernese Oberland.

The indictment alleges the two men set about their victims in a killing frenzy, inflicting more than 50 knife wounds on each of them, according to the Blick.

It said a 12-year-old girl who lived in the home opened the door to the two accused after they rang the bell.

The men proceeded to the flat at the top of the house where the killings took place.

The woman was attacked after running to her partner’s aid.

Blick said the motive for the crime was revenge.

The younger attacker and his brother had spent time in the children’s home and had been beaten and humiliated by the other children.
