Honest pensioner hands in Zurich cash stash
A Zurich pensioner is to receive a reward for handing in a stash of 6,000 francs ($5,900) that he found in the street.
The 85-year-old found the wad of notes by the side of a road in the Kreis 2 district of Zurich on Tuesday morning and handed it in to the police, said news agencies.
He was told to lodge it with the police lost property department in the hope of finding the owner.
As yet, no one has come forward to claim the money.
The honest octogenarian will be entitled to a reward of 10 percent of the amount found.
Such incidents are not infrequent in Switzerland, recently confirmed as the world's richest country.
Earlier this year in couple in Basel left a bag containing 144,000 francs on a tram in the city.
Thankfully the tram driver discovered the bag when reached the tram terminal and turned it in to police.
