Trump wins US presidential election: Spain reacts
Spain is reeling with the news that the USA has voted Republican candidate Donald Trump as the 45th President.
Spain's Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy tweeted out his congratulations to the new president. "We'll continue to work to strengthen relations that we have with US, an indispensible partner".

Those on the left were quick to comment on the billionaire’s shock victory, calling for a social movement to rise up and protect democracy.
Pablo Iglesias the firebrand leader of Spain’s anti-austerity party Podemos called for the people of the US to rise up to fight Trump’s fascism with social justice and human rights. "The vaccine against Trump's fascism is social justice and human rights, not more establishment. There is a people in the US who will resist," he tweeted.

Barcelona’s radical left wing mayor who gained popularity through an anti-eviction protest movement tweeted:
We're seeing a world where more than ever it's necessary to join forces in literal defense of life democracy and human rights #ElectionNight

Albert Rivera, the leader of Spain's centrist party Ciudadanos said: "We ave to reflect on why Trump was elected. Becuase there was no alternative project on offer."
