Man in Sweden fined for peeing on woman in nightclub

A man in Sweden has been fined nearly $2,000 for peeing on a woman on a night club dance floor.
The 33-year-old, who was heavily intoxicated, urinated all over the woman in September last year while the two were attending the Slick City nightclub in Gävle on Sweden’s east coast.
The woman told a court that she had first become aware of the pee-attack when she felt something warm on her leg. She then looked down and saw that her trousers and shoes were soaked.
The man has neither denied nor admitted to the crime.
In its ruling the court said that even though there was no indication that the man had deliberately targeted that particular woman, he had shown total indifference to the consequences of peeing onto a crowded dance floor.
He was ordered to pay 7,200 kronor in compensation to the women, and a further 10,000 kronor as punishment.
The woman had demanded 5 000 kronor in compensation for the trauma, and 2,259 kronor to cover her entry fee to the nightclub, her taxi journey home, and the purchase of new clothes and a new pair of shoes.
