Four don't-miss festivals in Sweden this week
Arab cinema, Gay Pride, out-of-the-box art, whisky and craft beer – what more could a person in Sweden possibly need?
Stockholm Fringe Festival
Stockholm Fringe Festival (Stoff) kicks off on Wednesday next week for a six-day festival where local and international artists will take the stage to present their material, focusing on "out-of-the-box and alternative works". Shows in English include Austrian performer Thomas Weilharter's 'Praise thy Lord' which describes itself as "a show about how to f***ing praise thy money-spending habits"; 'Hear Much//Say Little' by Irish artist Amanda Doherty about the "government's ownership of the female body"; and 'Piss Drone/Drone Piss', a piece on "public bathrooms as queer spaces" performed by Polish and Swedish artists. That's just a few of the shows on offer, so check out the festival's website for information about more performances and tickets.
When: October 5th-10th ('Hear Much//Say Little', October 5th; 'Praise thy Lord', October 5th, 6th; 'Piss Drone/Drone Piss', October 5th, 7th)
Where: Various venues around Stockholm

The big don't-miss events include the Pride Parade on Saturday and the Pride Party in the evening (complete with DJ and a feminist post-punk band).
