Ikea's press office in Sweden confirmed on Tuesday that offices belonging to a subsidiary at Khimki Business Park on the outskirts of Moscow had been searched by Russian investigators.

It said its workers were cooperating with police, the Swedish newswire TT reported.

According to Russian news agency Interfax, the raid is linked to an ongoing police investigation.

It is not the first time Ikea's offices at Khimki Business Park have been searched by police. The company has been locked into a legal dispute over the land on which it is built.

The previous owner has repeatedly reported Ikea over alleged fraud, claiming that it has not paid enough for the land and that the purchase is invalid.

Last year Ikea announced it was planning to expand in Russia, its fourth largest market by sales since the company arrived in 2000.
