'If Donald Trump wins I'm moving back to Sweden'
Swedish Hollywood actor Joel Kinnaman may have starred in both House of Cards and Robocop. But if Donald Trump becomes president, the actor said he will quit the US.
Known from political thriller series House of Cards, action flick Robocop and Swedish hit Easy Money (Snabba Cash), Kinnaman is currently starring alongside Will Smith in new blockbuster 'Suicide Squad'.
The 36-year-old Swede's dad was American and he holds dual passports. But not even emotional ties will keep him in Hollywood if controversial Republican candidate Trump wins the US presidential election, he said in an interview with Sweden's King Magazine.
“If Trump wins we're packing our bags and moving home to Sweden, that's for sure,” the Expressen tabloid quoted him as telling the men's style magazine.
“It's a damn scary wave of fascism moving across the world right now. It feels like those 20-25 percent of idiots there are in each country have suddenly awakened from some kind of stupor and started having opinions. Really nasty,” he added.
The Swede said he had met the sitting President Obama, at an official dinner at the White House.
“We actually talked twice during the evening. Once at the pre-mingle when we arrived with the rest of the 400 invited guests. We babbled a bit about Cuba, if I remember correctly. I had been there for New Year's and liked it, as did he,” he said.
“The second time was in the men's room during dinner. I came out from the toilet and he was in line to get inside. It think I said something along the lines of: 'Yo, this one's available. You can have this one.' He was like: 'thanks'. Pretty cool, anyway.”

Released in August, crime movie Suicide Squad is about a secret government agency recruiting previously imprisoned supervillains to carry out dangerous underground missions for the state.
The film cast includes a host of huge global names, from US actor and singer Jared Leto to British model and Hollywood starlet Cara Delevigne, Legend of Tarzan heroine Margot Robbie and the above-mentioned mega star Will Smith.
