Sweden legend Henrik Larsson's son Jordan has been named in the country's final 18-man squad that will play at the Rio Olympics in August.

Dad Henrik, 44, represented Sweden 106 times between 1993 and 2009, winning Bronze with his nation at the 1994 World Cup.

At club level he also played in the Uefa Cup final with Celtic, and won the Uefa Champions League and La Liga with FC Barcelona.

Now Jordan, 19, will have a chance to start building a legacy of his own in what will be the biggest stage he has played on to date.

The men’s football squads for the Olympics are made up of players under the age of 23, as well as three selected players over the age limit.

The Helsingborg forward has previously represented his nation at U17, U19 and U21 level.

Larsson is one of the higher profile names in a squad comprised mostly of promising young players. There will be no final swan song for veterans like Kim Källström, 33, or Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 34.

The latter had been rumoured as a participant at the Olympics when he was included in the initial 35-man shortlist in June.
