Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic suggested there could be some bombshell news on his future club on Tuesday, the same day he launches his new sportswear line.

“It’s going to be the bomb of the summer, there will be many things going on that day,” said Ibrahimovic, who is leaving Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent, and who is widely tipped to join Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

Asked directly if this was the case, the giant striker said: “Come along on the seventh”.

Having scored 48 goals in 50 games at PSG this season, the 34-year-old led Sweden to a 3-0 win over Wales on Sunday in their last Euro 2016 warm-up game. The striker looked in sharp form, setting up Emil Forsberg’s opener and playing just over an hour before being taken off to rest.

On June 4th, British broadcaster Sky Sports reported that Manchester United were in the final stages of tying up a one-year contract with the Malmö native, which was then followed by similar stories in the UK’s Guardian newspaper.

If confirmed, a move to Old Trafford would reunite Ibrahimovic and coach Mourinho for the first time since 2009. The duo worked together at Inter Milan, winning an Italian league title over the course of their fruitful but brief partnership at the San Siro.

Along with Inter, Ibrahimovic has previously played for a string of European giants such as Juventus, AC Milan, Barcelona and Ajax.
