Lyria train services between Switzerland and France will be disrupted on Wednesday and Thursday due to more strikes by French rail staff.

The “rolling strikes”, by workers on French rail network SNCF, are set to continue every Wednesday and Thursday until the Euro 2016 football championships in June.

As well as affecting services in France itself, international services towards Switzerland, Spain and Italy will also be subject to delays and cancellations.

TGV-Lyria trains link Paris and Dijon to the Swiss cities of Lausanne, Geneva, Zurich and Bern.

The French rail strike – the country’s fifth since the beginning of March – is part of an ongoing battle with SNCF over pay and working conditions.
