Chances are it's not as bad as you think.

"I can afford a much higher quality of life in Stockholm than I could in Paris or London," says Nils, a Swede who has spent plenty of time living abroad.

And statistics back up his statement. Actually, according to the worldwide cost of living survey published by The Economist, it's cheaper to live in Stockholm than Oslo, Helsinki, Frankfurt, Geneva, or Houston.
