Europe's biggest vegan festival back in Vienna
The biggest vegan festival in Europe is back in Vienna in May, with four days of stalls promoting vegan food, fashion and cosmetic products.
The Veganmania Wien festival takes place from May 25th-28th at the city’s MuseumsQuartier, with 12,000 daily visitors expected to visit the free event.
The festival aims to provide information about healthy, environmentally and animal friendly products and will showcase a variety of vegan foods, from fast food to raw food.
“The trend towards veganism is overwhelming at the moment - that we see very clearly in our visitor numbers,” said organiser Felix Hnat.
Although more famous for it’s schnitzels than soya, the are increasing numbers of places to get vegan food in Vienna.
From elegant Asian food to fast food burgers, here’s a list of nine top veggie and vegan restaurants in Vienna to tickle your tastebuds.
