Missing Swede found safe and well in Brussels
One of four Swedes missing after Tuesday's terror attacks in Brussels has been traced, Sweden's foreign ministry has confirmed.
The Swedish citizen's discovery was confirmed on on Wednesday afternoon, however three other Swedes understood to be living in the city remain uncontactable.
"The foreign ministry is in contact with the relatives of a few Swedes in Brussels that have not yet been reached," Veronica Nordlund, another spokesperson for the ministry, told Swedish broadcaster SVT earlier in the day.
Three Swedes were hurt in Tuesday's explosions in the Belgian capital, according to the foreign ministry, including a woman understood to have been working for the European Commission.
The ministry said that the woman was seriously hurt in the violence which unfolded at Maelbeck subway station in Brussels. Regional Swedish newspaper NSD said it had spoken to the victim's family who confirmed that she is in her forties.
A Swedish man was already known to have been injured in one of the explosions at the city's airport.
"We have information about a Swedish man, but his injuries are not believed to be serious. We are keeping in touch with his family," foreign ministry spokesperson Johan Tegel told The Local on Tuesday, just hours after the attacks.
The Expressen tabloid reported he is in his fifties and received a minor shrapnel wound.

According to the Swedish foreign ministry a third Swede also received minor injuries in the terror.
Two of the three Swedes injured in the attacks are understood to remain in hospital.
On Wednesday morning Belgian state broadcaster RTBF released the names of two of three suspected suicide bombers involved in the airport attack.
They are said to be brothers Khalid and Ibrahim el-Bakraoui.
The pair were well know to police as longstanding criminals and it has emerged they had clear links to the jihadists who carried out the deadly attacks in Paris in November.
According to SVT, around 6,000 Swedish people live in Belgium.
