Ellie Goulding had close call on frozen lake in Norway

English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding has revealed that she nearly ended up in a Norwegian lake on a recent trek through the country.
The singer and her tour photographer, Conor McDonnell, both posted images to Instagram showing their all-terrain vehicle half-submerged in a partially frozen lake.
Although the singer didn't mention the location, broadcaster NRK reported that it was Lake Tyin, close to where the singer was vacationing in Filefjell.
“Throwback to a few weeks ago when myself and @conormcdphoto nearly ended up in a lake in -30... Note to self don't drive a BV206 over a frozen lake,” Goulding wrote.
In a later post to Twitter, the singer said that she was never in any real danger.

McDonnell wrote that the singer was originally not going to mention the incident but ultimately “decided that it's too mad of a story not to tell”.
“This photo is from when we were in Norway a few weeks ago - That moment when you're in -25 in the middle of nowhere in Norway in the pitch black and your belt wagon crashes through the ice in the middle of a lake and you have to emergency evacuate through the roof,” the photographer wrote.
“‘Oh shit we're in’ was my first though. Second was to take photos. We were in the front cabin. That is pretty much under water in this photo. A few minutes later it was all completely gone under the water and ice for good ,” McDonnell continued.
According to NRK, the belt wagon was not permitted to drive on the lake. The machine is stuck under the ice and will cost its owner thousands of kroner in losses.
Goulding will be back in Norway for a March 4 concert at Oslo’s Telenor Arena.
