'Polite' bank robber waited in queue
Police are hunting for a ‘polite’ bank robber who patiently waited his turn in a queue at a Bank Austria branch in Vienna on Monday afternoon before demanding cash from the teller.
Police said that although he did threaten the bank employee verbally, he did not appear to have a weapon. As soon as the cash had been handed over he made his escape.
The man is thought to be between 30 and 45 years old, around 1.70 and 1.75 meters tall, with a beard and moustache. He was wearing brightly coloured trainers, sweatpants and a two-colour knitted sweater as well as a black cap with ear flaps.
Police have not said how much money he stole.
