“The prognosis is very uncertain but we are expecting realistically between 10cm and 30 cm of snow, probably mostly in the southern part of Troms,” Gunnar Andreas Noer from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute in Tromsø told The Local.

He warned that it wouldn't be the best quality snow.

“You use your old skis,” he joked. “This is typically early season skiing, so you might go down to the rocks, so you should use skis you don’t mind getting scratches on.”

Norwegians living south of Trondheim, would be getting rain rather than snow, he predicted, while to the east of Finnmark and in Oslo it would probably remain dry.
