1. The Local's Autumn Mingle, Stockholm

We're hosting our very own networking event this week at Stockholm's Hard Rock Cafe and due to high demand we've just released an extra 100 tickets. Come for a drink and meet the team behind Sweden's biggest English-language news site as well our eight other editions across Europe. Did you know we reach a global audience of 4.5 million people a month? You'll also have the chance to mix with our international community of readers as well as some of the inspiring expats and immigrants and Swedes who've made headlines on our site over the past year. A beer or a wine will cost you just 39 SEK.

When: 6pm-8pm, November 11th

Where: Sveavägen 75, Odenplan, Stockholm

Tickets: Free tickets via the Billetto website

2. The Lunchbox, Gothenburg

Starting your own business is empowering, but can feel a little lonely at times - especially when you've literally got nobody to sit next to at lunch. That's why startup community Entrepreneurial Hive is hosting a midday mingle aimed at entrepreneurs amd small company owners. The idea is that you pick up food on the way from one of the many cheap and tasty eats in the city, or bring along your own sandwich box. You'll get 45 seconds to pitch yourself to your new connections and the chance to watch several short lectures while you munch away.

When: 12pm-1.30pm, November 9th

Where: Entrepreneurial Hive, Östra Larmgatan 16, Gothenburg

Tickets: Entrance is free but registation via Meetup is preferred

3. Excitera presents Stockholm pub, Stockholm

Thinking of launching your own company and want to meet like-minded people? Excitera - the student organization for entrepreneurship at KTH (The Royal Institute of Technology) is organizing a mingle that's perfect for you. It's part of the global TEDx programme which encourages local groups to organize events that bring people together in the inspiring spirit of TED talks. There'll be no complex powerpoint presentations or annoying ice breaker games here. Instead you'll find a simple pub night where you can get a taste for the city's startup culture.

When: 5pm-9pm, November 5th

Where: Openlab, Valhallavägen 79, Stockholm

Tickets: Entrance is free. First 120 people get a drink ticket. More details on Facebook

4. Mingle with App developers, Gothenburg

Mobile tech is one of the fastest-growing business fields in Sweden, so while this is more of a niche event, it's one that deserves to be included in our list. Taking place at Lindholmen Science Park, this mingle is the launch point of a competition designed to find new global talent. The details of the contest will be revealed during the event, where free snacks and coffee are being promised. But be sure to have a background in mobile app development before turning up to this one.

When: 3pm - 5pm, November 10th

Where: Lindholmen Science Park, Visual Arena, Gothenburg

Tickets: Entrance is free to pre-approved attendees. More information on Facebook.

That's why their latest after work mingle is taking place on a Friday night, with DJ Stoffe spinning the soundtrack. Organizers promise attendees the chance to hang out with "the most exciting crowd of the Swedish startup world" including entrepreneurs, investors and developers.
