Student's selfie horror short storms the internet
A student in Cologne has created a viral sensation with her video about the dangers of taking a selfie in a dark room by yourself...
The video was made as part of Meelah Adams' bachelor's thesis into viral videos. She decided to make her own video to study the process – and with 7.5 million views since "Selfie from Hell" was published in August she's has certainly accomplished her aim.
In the two-minute video a woman (played by Adams herself) keeps noticing a dark figure in the background of her selfies who doesn't seem to be there in reality. But with each selfie he comes a little closer...
In a blog post Adams reveals that the video was also made as promotion for a film she is making with a colleague. And she reveals that Seflie from Hell is just the first in a series with the next film to go on-line in the coming days.
