Danish man murdered in Mexico
The Danish Foreign Ministry confirmed on Friday that a citizen was shot in Mexico. According to Mexican media reports, the shooting was fatal.
A Danish man was shot dead outside his home in an upscale area of Mexico City, Mexican media reported on Thursday.
Mexican media outlet Noticieros reported that the Danish man was shot three times, including once in the head.
The shooting reportedly occurred during a robbery attempt at the Dane's home in Polanco, a wealthy district just outside of Mexico City. Media reports speculated that the Dane may have returned home to see the robbery in progress. When he confronted the man, an argument ensued which culminated in the fatal shooting.
The Danish Foreign Ministry did not release the identity of the man, and Mexican media reports gave conflicting names for the victim.
