Sweden's Måns Zelmerlöw is the favourite to win Eurovision 2015 and a saucy press pack featuring an image of him wearing only underwear is causing the social media hype around the star to swell.

The final of Eurovision 2015 in Austria is still eight days away but the buzz surrounding Swedish contestant Måns Zelmerlöw is already reaching fever pitch. This excitement may be at least partially down to his song, the feelgood stomp of Heroes, already a huge hit in Sweden and the hottest favourite to win Eurovision since Abba in 1974.

Zelmerlöw won't have done his chances of succeeding Austrian singer Conchita Wurst as Eurovision winner any harm by releasing a press kit this week complete with a cutout picture of him in just blue and yellow underwear, ready to be dressed in accompanying lederhosen and Conchita Wurst-style beard.

The picture certainly proved a hit on Twitter, with hundreds of giddy users very keen to share their thoughts on Zelmerlöw's cheeky promo shots.

Zelmerlöw, meanwhile, is relaxed despite the pressure of being favourite and the hassles of technical difficulties in early rehearsals. "It's great fun to be one of the favourites,” he told Swedish newspaper Expressen. “ Obviously, I want to do as well as possible but I can only do my best. I will come home even if I end up in sixteenth (last) place. But if I do finish sixteenth, it might just take me a little longer to make it home."

The singer is competing in Eurovision having won Sweden's national prequel competition, Melodifestivalen.

He first entered the starlight after taking the crown in Swedish Idol back in 2005.

Since then, the 28-year-old from Lund has been a familiar face in Swedish media - and a popular teen pin-up.
