A woman has taken her former employers, a protestant social welfare organization, to court after they fired her upon discovering she had appeared in porn films. The court rejected her appeal.

Julia Pink, 38, appeared in the regional labour court in Munich on Monday, only for her appeal against her former employers to be refused.

The court ruled that the organisation had the right to enforce its own values, meaning the dismissal of Pink without notice was an appropriate action to take.

Pink was employed by the protestant social welfare organisation in Bavaria for 17 years, where she worked with disabled adults, before her hobby became public: making porn films and organising wild swinger parties.

"It had always been a dream of mine to shoot a real porn film," she told Bild.

In 2013 she fulfilled her dream and her porn films were uploaded onto the internet, but things turned sour when her boss was informed about them. She was immediately dismissed without notice.

Pink sees no wrong-doing: "I worked there for so long and now they throw me out just like that. I'm not going to let that happen," she had told Bild. But she hasn’t received the decision she was hoping for.

When asked to explain Pink's dismissal, the head of the organisation said:

"We also promote sexual values at our organisation. For us, partaking in sexual activities in exchange for money is not compatible with [caring for] severely disabled people. These people have access to the internet and so could get hold of the pictures, and then come to the conclusion that this behaviour is normal."

The court accepted the protestant organization's right to further its religious values, and rejected Pink's appeal.
