First Aid Kit are on the road in Sweden while Linköping is getting a heavy dose of 1980s British-style stadium rock. Here's our pick of events happening around the country over the next seven days.

Sweden's biggest folk-indie export in recent years, First Aid Kit, are back on home soil and touring the country's smaller cities from Gävle on the east coast to Luleå in Sweden's far north this week. Up-and-coming British Manchester-based singer and writer Jo Rose is supporting.
 
Friday February 6th sees Sweden celebrate Sami National Day. The event marks the date when the first Sámi congress was held in 1917 in Trondheim, Norway, bringing together Norwegian and Swedish Sami to discuss solutions for common problems. You don't have to live in the north of the country to join the celebrations. Stockholm's open air museum, Skansen, will deliver Sami-style music, speeches and souvas - a savoury dish of reindeer meat.
 
Need cheering up amidst the ice and slushy snow? Lost in Translation, an improvised performance that explores what it is like to be an expat in Sweden is now showing at Boulevardteatern in Stockholm. After several successful runs, the fourth season of the comedy been extended through to June. The Local laughed so hard our stomach muscles ached after checking out a show last week. 
 
 
Queen fans are in for a treat in southern Sweden this week, with the hit British musical Champions of Rock heading to the Saab Arena in Linköping. Unleash your inner Freddie Mercury while watching emerging Swedish star Peter Johansson embrace the lead role on stage.
