Italian mum charged with killing baby in London

An Italian woman has been charged with murdering her newborn baby boy in London, two days after she reported him missing to police.

Federica Boscolo-Gnolo, 31, was on Friday charged with murdering baby Farah, London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

She was arrested two days earlier after going to police and claiming the baby had disappeared from a hotel in west London. The baby’s body has not yet been found and police are continuing to investigate his disappearance.

Farah was born on November 22nd in Chioggia, his mother’s hometown in the province of Venice.

Boscolo-Gnolo is due to appear at the Old Bailey, London’s Central Criminal Court, on Tuesday.
