Swedish baby wins TV fame in US
A Swedish baby and her King Charles Spaniel scored more than three million views on America’s Funniest Home Videos in just one day, after the baby's father sent a video of the then six-month-old being bowled over by the puppy.
The child's father Viktor Johansson was at a friend's house in Gothenburg when his partner Sara Sandstig sent him a video clip of Alma, now 14-months-old, being knocked for six by their dog Maja. “At first I was terrified, but when I got home, I saw that all was well,” he told his local Göteborgs-Posten newspaper. The family found the clip so funny that they sent it to America’s Funniest Home Videos, the long-running US reality show aired by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). On Friday the clip made the top of the program’s Facebook page, since when it has gained more than three million views. “The video seems to have aroused a lot of thoughts and feelings,” Johansson said. “Some people accuse my partner of being a bad mother, but others defend her. I really hadn’t expected such a response. I’m almost a little shocked.” See the video below: (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
