Convicted terrorist Anders Behring Breivik stands accused of another crime, that of exhausting his prison guards with his 'celebrity' status and relentlessy manipulative behaviour, it was revealed on Friday.

The Utøya 2011 mass killer who is serving a life sentence drained the life from his former officers who backed Breivik's move to a new prison in late 2013.

The convict is believed to have exhausted the staff who look after him and they were happy to see him moved to another jail, Norwegian newspaper VG revealed.

The Norwegian who murdered 67 people on July 11, over three years ago, still shows little sign of remorse for the killings. This lack of regret plus the criminal's highly manipulative behaviour among staff poses a set of extra challenges for guards and is stressful.

Breivik's celebrity and the high volume of letters he receives and writes is also an administrative strain on prison staff who must read and vet each one.
