Swedish tourist dies in diving accident

A Swedish man on holiday in Sri Lanka has died in what Swedish media reports suggest was a diving accident.
"The Foreign Ministry can confirm that a Swedish man in his thirties has died today," Victoria Bell, spokeswoman at the ministry, told the Aftonbladet newspaper. While the ministry refused to comment further on the details of the accident, the paper reported that the man had been diving at the time. The victim is understood to be from Mälardal in eastern Sweden. His relatives have been informed.
