IN VIDEOS: Naughtiest French TV commercials
We've put together a video gallery of some of the steamiest French TV ads, many of which ended up being banned either in France or the UK, including that infamous one involving a Perrier bottle from the 1970s.
The French are known for being liberal when it comes to sex - so it's perhaps no surprise that their TV commercials are often centred on this theme.
But over the years advertising agencies have pushed the boundaries of what's deemed acceptable and what isn't, both in France and abroad.
It's perhaps not a surprise that some of the more raunchy adverts proved just too hot for UK advertising authorities and even their French counterparts. Others on this list came under fire from women's rights groups, who found them offensive and demeaning.
We've scoured the web to find a selection of the steamiest French TV commercials over the years, including that one with the Perrier bottle.
