Austrian Fokker made emergency landing

A narrow-body twin-engined Fokker 70 belonging to Austrian Airlines (AUA) was forced to make an emergency landing back at Vienna's international airport on Wednesday due to an on-board computer failure.
The aircraft had just departed from Vienna heading towards St. Petersburg, when the failure of one of the flight data computers during the climb prompted the pilot to return to the airport, according to an AUA spokesman on Friday.
The Austrian Press Agency (APA) reported that the spokesman said "Because safety is a top priority at Austrian Airlines, the pilot decided to return to Vienna. The landing was smooth and the affected passengers were rebooked."
The computer has been replaced, and the aircraft is back in service since Thursday.
