Sweden are set to risk using Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their Euro 2016 qualifier against Russia on Thursday, despite the Paris Saint-Germain striker not being fully fit, coach Erik Hamren said on Monday.

"We will know more tomorrow (Tuesday) on how it is looking for him, but I hope he will be on the pitch Thursday," said Hamren.

The national captain, 33, has yet to return to full training as he recovers from a thigh injury and hasn't played for PSG since September 21st, when his side drew against Lyon (1-1).

He is Sweden's all-time leading scorer with 50 goals from 100 appearances and also played at the 2002 and 2006 World Cups, as well as the past three European championships.

Sweden opened their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with a 1-1 draw in Austria and now host Russia before the visit of Liechtenstein next Sunday.

A documentary about the footballer, "From Rosenård with more than one goal", is set to hit television screens in Sweden on Wednesday. In a lengthy interview with The Guardian newspaper, Ibrahimovic said the documentary was an "emotional" journey that took six months to film.

"But I did it because I want to show everyone how my life is different from the inside and how I went all the way from Rosengård to the national team record," he told the paper.

"It’s also personal. You get to know my father.”
