One dead, one injured in Copenhagen shooting
Two victims were hit by shots from a sawed-off shotgun on Tuesday morning. One has died and the other is in critical condition.
Update: The shooting incident was connected to a divorce case.
Two people were shot on Tuesday morning near Copenhagen's Town Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen), leaving one dead and one in critical condition.
"Two people were shot. One is in critical condition, while the other has died" Copenhagen Police wrote in a press release just before 11.30am.
The shooting took place inside the bailiff's court (Fogedretten) on the street Hestemøllerstræde
Police say that the suspect has been arrested and that a sawed-off shotgun was found at the scene. Police did not speculate on a motive.
Ritzau news agency reported that there was a "massive" police presence at the scene after the shooting and that several streets were closed off.
Police announced that there will provided more details at a press briefing later on Tuesday.
