The story this week of a neighbourly dispute between Brits in a quiet village in southern France showed that sometimes all is not well between expats.

The dispute, dubbed "the war of the roast beefs" by one French newspaper spiralled out of control and saw one couple walled into their own home by their British neighbours.

It was, of course, an extreme case of expats not getting along, but there are many other things that foreigners do on a daily basis in France that seem to get on our nerves.

After asking readers to send in their suggestions of things expats do that drive you mad or make you cringe we were inundated with responses.

We've gathered them together and squeezed them into our top ten (CLICK LINK BELOW). Let's face it we are probably all guilty of at least one or two of these faux pas at one stage or another during our life in France.
