The man stated that the car was not his, and that he intended to buy it, but wanted to try it out "only briefly."

He was stopped at a radar trap in Traiskirchen, in the district of Baden in Lower Austria, according to the National Police Directorate.

The man was on the Southern Motorway heading in the direction of Graz when police pulled him over.  He attempted to justify his speed by saying that he was only testing out the car's capabilities for a brief time, which was necessary as he was thinking of buying it.

Police said that the man will face charges relating to reckless driving, and he may lose his license.  The man made no comment on whether he will buy the car or not, or whether he was satisfied with its performance at high speeds.
