Snoop Dogg found himself on the wrong side of the law on Sunday evening after his music playing in a bar just outside Oslo received complaints from locals.

The US rapper was playing records in Signalen bar, in Nesodden, but noise levels proved too much for many neighbours and police received several complaints. Police were called to the bar during the night and stopped the event.

The rapper had given a concert in Oslo Spectrum earlier the same evening. After the gig, Snoop went to Nesodden, outside Oslo, to perform as DJ for a set specially arranged in the bar.

As Snoop's DJing began, so did the complaints from nearby neighbours to police. Asker and Bærum police department tweeted to say they had received around 80 complaints on music being played too loud and that it was coming from the other side of the fjord.

Oslo residents also reacted to the music from the Nesodden bar.

Follo police department stated on Twitter that some time after 3am on Monday morning police arrived at the Signalen bar and shut down the music earlier than planned because of complaints.

Snoop Dogg has had previous history with Norwegian police. In June 2012 he was caught trying to enter Norway with drugs. A few months later that year he was refused entry to the country and banned from playing a gig due to the charge.
