The president of the association for victims of Madrid's 2004 terrorist bombings has racially attacked US President Barack Obama and his wife on Twitter over their handling of the Gaza conflict, saying it could lead to future terrorist attacks.

Pilar Manjón, head of Spain’s 11-M Foundation (which takes its name from the 11th March 2004 Madrid train bombings), has directed all her ire and frustration over Gaza’s bloody conflict at Barack and Michelle Obama.

In a shocking, racist tweet sent out on Thurday, Manjón writes: “I hate the black man in the White House. I love Gaza’s murdered children. His b**** wife should take the video of (Nigeria’s) kidnapped girls”.

Manjón, whose son died during the Madrid bombings, has publicly blamed Spain’s former Prime Minister José María Aznar for causing the terrorist attack by sending troops to the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.

The 56-year-old told Spanish news agency Europa Press she sent out the tweet to condemn the “extermination” of the Palestinian people which she claims will “mean more support for the jihadist movement”.

Those who are to blame are Israel and the White House, Manjón added in quoted cited by The Huffington Post.

With regard to her comments towards Michelle Obama, the civil servant and trade unionist said she had no problem in posting a photo of herself with a sign calling for the liberation of the Nigerian girls kidnapped by Islamist group Boko Haram, but “says hasn’t said anything about what’s happening in Gaza”.

“If one day Spain or any other European country suffers a terrorist attack like 11-M, we’ll have to look back to what’s happening now to understand it.

“I’ve never expressed my grief over my son by hating Muslims, Gaza is Muslim. But I cry for their dead and I love every one of their murdered children,” Manjón wrote in another tweet.

191 people died and 1,800 were wounded in Madrid’s 2004 train bombings.

The official investigation by a Spanish court found that an Al Qaeda–inspired terrorist cell were responsiblefor the attack although no direct participation by the islamist group has yet been established.

So far in the most recent Gaza conflict, 1,442 Palestians have been killed and 8295 have been wounded. Fifty-six Israeli soldiers and two civilians have also died.
