Angeliqa Jonsson, 26, a photography student from Norrköping on Sweden's east coast scooped the gong in what has been dubbed 'Australia's Ultimate Internship.'

The Swede, along with three of her friends, are set to explore all manner of adventures down under including bungy jumping, sky diving, whale watching, hot air ballooning and white water rafting.

Jonsson said her friend tipped her off about the contest, which the Swede promptly went off and won.

“I went online and saw all the amazing experiences that Experience Oz offers and I knew I wanted it. I put a lot of work into the application and then just hoped for the best.

“When they called me to say I had been chosen I couldn’t believe it; I have never been more excited,” Jonsson said.

Having landed the prize Jonsson invited her friend who told her about the contest along for the adventure. Two other photography students will also tag along and see many of Oz's most iconic locations.

The internship includes 14 days of paid travel, stopping in Cairns, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Sydney and Melbourne, with all expenses valued at $20,000 ($18,760) including accommodation, experiences, car hire, flights and most meals.

“It’s a great opportunity for these girls who all have a passion for travel adventures, to build their portfolios and learn new skills in media production and social media along the way," Experience Oz Business Development Manager Michelle Woodroff said.

Jonsson and her friends are currently midway through their adventure which runs until July 28th. You can keep up with their trip via Facebook and Instagram where they are regularly posting updates.
